History

Founded by Jose Guadalupe in 1988, when he arrived to New Jersey from Morelos, Mexico. It all started with a dream to represent and put the Mexican culture high. Putting the group together was not an easy task. He started with six members which he personally picked. He wanted to have members who have the potential to perform the best Mariachi music. At the beginning it was hard to keep together and establish themselves in New Jersey but, with their professional talent they have gone far.

Accomplishments

Two years after their start, in 1990, Mariachi Oro De Mexico started working with famous hotels companies and restaurants through out New York and New Jersey. Included are the huge casinos in Atlantic City. The group also participates in many cultural and musical festivals. Continuing with their great effort, they started to work with famous Mexican artists. Some of the artists include Cuco Sanchez, Maribel Guardia, Pedro Fernandez, Alicia Villareal, Yolanda Del Rio, and Ana Barbara. With the help of God the group is putting Mexico culture high and keeps its Mariachi music going.

Hugo Hernandez -Plays the vihuela ( a three string instrument).

Isaac Sandoval -Plays the "guitarron".
